Emory & Henry Men’s Tennis Tabbed As Eighth In ODAC Coaches’ Poll

FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team has been picked to finish in eighth place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference this season, ODAC officials announced Thursday. The poll is voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.

The Wasps, under second-year Head Coach Kevin Girard, posted a 3-14 record last year (1-9 ODAC). E&H returns five players from last season's squad and welcomes three freshmen which will be expected to contribute right away.

Washington and Lee University received 10 of 11 first-place votes and 100 points, and is picked to win the league for a 34rd time. Virginia Wesleyan College is second with 87 points while Bridgewater College is third (77) with the final top nod. Randolph-Macon College is fourth with 64 points.

The Wasps open the spring portion of their schedule on Friday, February 27 with a non-conference against Averett University. E&H will have its first ODAC match at Randolph-Macon College on Sunday March 1.
