Emory & Henry Men's Tennis Falls to Virginia Wesleyan, 9-0

Lexington, Va. - Emory & Henry (2-3, 0-2 ODAC) falls to Virginia Wesleyan (2-3, 1-1 ODAC) in their second ODAC match of the 2014-15 season. The Wasps fell in all nine matches in Lexington, Va., the home courts of Washington and Lee.

In doubles, John Dalton Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) and Alex Polydoroff (Falcon Heights, Minn.) fell by a score of 8-1. Both the two and three doubles teams lost as well, winning two and one games, respectively.

At one singles, sophomore Kamil Aliev (Moscow, RUSSIA) lost both sets 6-0. While at the two spot, Ferguson went down 6-1, 6-1. Freshman, Polydoroff competed hard, but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-1. Luke Funkhouser (Gate City, Va.) fell 6-0, 6-1 at the four spot. Eric Logan (Abingdon, Va.) and Jonathan Romano (Bland, Va.) also lost their singles matches on the day.

Next, the Wasps head to Hilton Head next week to play four matches.
