Emory & Henry Tennis Adds Jessica Brumit As Assistant Coach

EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College Head Men's & Women's Tennis Coach Jessica Giuggioli has hired Jessica Brumit as the Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach. Brumit is a native of Elizabethton, Tennessee and a 2015 graduate of East Tennessee State University, and will assist with all of the daily operations of the program. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science.

Brumit was a four-year letterwinner for the Bucs' women's tennis program and a three-year team captain. She posted a career record of 55-18 in singles and 33-13 mark in doubles. Brumit earned the Southern Conference Sportsmanship Award as a senior and was selected as the Atlantic Sun Conference's Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2014.

Brumit was also a volunteer for the ETSU Wilson Tennis Camp during her years in college. She provided instruction to the campers on the basics of the game of tennis and also assisted with the operations of the camp, ensuring that the campers got from place to place in an organized manner.

Before graduating from high school, Brumit served as an assistant at the Johnson City Country Club. She assisted with the operations of the club, scheduling and booking court times and was an instructor for junior's classes.
