Emory & Henry Men’s Tennis Tabbed Ninth In ODAC Coaches’ Poll

FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team has been picked to finish in ninth place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference this season, ODAC officials announced Tuesday. The poll is voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.

Last season, the Wasps went 5-11 on the season with a 2-8 mark in ODAC play. E&H returns five players from last season's squad and welcomes two freshmen which will be expected to contribute right away.

Washington and Lee University received 10 of 11 first-place votes and 100 points, and is picked to win the league for a 35rd time. Virginia Wesleyan College is second with 89 points and the final first-place vote while Guilford College is third (81). Bridgewater College and Roanoke College are tied for fourth with 64 points.

The Wasps (1-1) open the spring portion of their schedule on Saturday, February 27 with a non-conference match against Milligan College. E&H will play its first ODAC match at Shenandoah University on Saturday, March 19.
