Emory & Henry Men's Tennis Falls to Ohio Northern, 7-2, Sunday Morning

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (1-4, 0-0 ODAC) fell, 7-2, against Ohio Northern Unversity (5-1) on Sunday morning. The match was held at Bristol Racquet & Fitness is Bristol, Tennessee. The loss is the team's fourth straight defeat.

MEN

Doubles
-Kamil Aliev (Moscow, RUSSIA) and Luke Funkhouser (Gate City, Va.) played in a tough match at one doubles. The tandem lost 8-6.
-John Dalton Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) and Grayson McCarty (Marion, Va.) fell by the same 8-6 score at two doubles.
-Cooper Garrett (Gate City, Va.) and Dalton Shipley (Gate City, Va.) were blanked 8-0 at three doubles.

Singles
-Ferguson picked up his third straight singles victory at the one spot on Sunday. He defeated his opponent 7-5, 6-3.
-Aliev earned the Wasps their second victory of the day, beating his opponent, 6-4, 6-0.
-Funkhouser was shut out, 6-0, 6-0, at three singles
-McCarty went down, 6-0, 6-1.
-At five singles, Shipley lost, 6-2, 6-2
-Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) finished up the match by losing, 6-2, 6-1, at six singles.
