Men's Tennis Loses ODAC Match At Randolph College, 6-3, Saturday Afternoon

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Emory & Henry men's tennis team (1-7, 0-3 ODAC) were not able to pick up their first ODAC win of the season in a tough matchup at Randolph College (2-4, 1-2 ODAC), The Wasps played in some tough matches, but were defeated, 6-3, on the day.

Doubles 

  • The one doubles tandem played in a tough match. The duo wound up losing 8-5.
  • Two doubles went down, 8-3.
  • Three doubles picked up a quick 8-0 win on the day.

Singles

  • One singles was quickly vanquished, 6-0, 6-0, for the Wasps.
  • Grayson McCarty (Marion, Va.) played in a long match at two singles. The sophomore went down 6-0, 5-6, 10-7.
  • Three and four singles both lost, 6-0, 6-1.
  • Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) was on fire today. The junior blew by his opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at five singles.
  • Taylor Hines (Jonesville, Va.) continues his winning was as he won at six doubles, 6-3, 6-0.

Next Match

  • The men will travel to Roanoke College for the third leg in their three-day, three-game road trip tomorrow at noon.
