Men's Tennis Drops ODAC Road Match To Guilford, 9-0, Saturday Afternoon

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Emory & Henry men's tennis team (1-12, 0-7 ODAC) dropped their seventh straight ODAC match on the year on Saturday afternoon. The 9-0 loss is the third straight outcome that the Wasps have received. Guilford College moved to 8-3 overall, and a perfect 5-0 in ODAC play. 

Men's Doubles

Grayson McCarty (Marion, Va.) and Dalton Shipley (Gate City, Va.) took a tough 8-1 loss at one doubles. The tandem at two suffered an 8-2 setback. At three doubles, Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) and Taylor Hines (Jonesville, Va.) fought hard, but fell, 8-5.

Men's Singles

Each of the first three seeds were shut out, 6-0, 6-0. Cooper Garrett (Gate City, Va.) saw his demise by a score of 6-0, 6-2. McClung fell, 6-2, 6-1. And Hines went down at six singles, 6-1, 6-2.

Next Match

The Wasps will play at Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club at 9 a.m. tomorrow as they host Virginia Wesleyan.
