FOREST, Va. - Emory & Henry College's Archer Marlow has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Monday afternoon. It is the first time in six years that an E&H player has been selected for the weekly award.

The freshman from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, led the Wasps to a 3-0 week with non-conference wins over William Peace University, Ohio Christian University and Johnson University.

Marlow went 3-0 at the No. 2 singles, starting the week with a three-set win against WPU Wednesday. He capped the period with a pair of wins in straight sets over OHU and Johnson Saturday.

In doubles play, Marlow teamed up with junior Cooper Garrett (Gate City, Va.) for another trio of victories. They duo went 1-0 at No. 1 in their two matches at the second flight. An 8-0 win over the Pacers started the week off right, as Marlow and Garrett moved up the ladder to No. 1 for an 8-2 win over Ohio Christian.

Marlow is currently 5-2 in singles play and 5-1 in doubles matches. He has led the Wasps to a 5-2 overall record so far as they enter the heart of the ODAC schedule this weekend, hosting Randolph College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
