EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (4-7, 0-4 SAC) and Women's Tennis Team (4-5, 0-4 SAC) each fell to Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference play on Wednesday afternoon. LMU won by a 6-1 score in the men's match while the No. 41-ranked Lady Railsplitters took their match by a 7-0 margin.

Men's Match
- The Railsplitters picked up a sweep in the doubles portion of the match to take the 1-0 lead.
- Fifth-year Brandon McGuire (Christiansburg, Va.) picked up a win at the No. 6 singles spot, as he downed his opponent by an 8-5 scoreline. Freshman Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) split the first two sets of his match at No. 2 singles 0-6, 6-2 before falling 10-2 in a deciding tiebreak.
Women's Match
- The duo of sophomore Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) and freshman Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) combined for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, but the Lady Railsplitters took the other two matches of the doubles portion for the 1-0 lead.
- Junior Emma Charlton (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENGLAND) battled but fell by a 1-6, 2-6 score at No. 1 singles and Bergmann dropped a tough 3-6, 1-6 decision at No. 3 singles.
