Emory & Henry Men’s Tennis Tops Guilford, 5-4, Saturday On The Road

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (1-2) picked up its first win of the season on Saturday with a 5-4 victory over former Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Guilford College (0-1).

How It Happened
- Sophomore Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) and junior Branson Smith (Fletcher, N.C.) teamed up for an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles.
- Freshmen Will Bayliss (Totland, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND) and Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) won at No. 2 doubles by an 8-6 score.
- Smith dominated his opponent at No. 2 singles en route to a 6-0, 6-0 blanking.
- Naedele and Bayliss earned a pair of 6-0, 6-2 wins at No. 3 singles and No. 4 singles respectively.

- E&H will be back in action on Saturday, October 14, when it makes the trip to Danville, Virginia to take on the Cougars of Averett University. First serve is scheduled for noon.
