Emory & Henry Track & Field Competes At EMU Legacy Meet Friday

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Track & Field Teams continued the 2021 outdoor season on Friday competing at the EMU Legacy Meet. The Wasps won four events and picked up 14 top-five finishes on the day. Additionally, one E&H record was broken on both the men's and women's side of the meet.

Top Men's Performances
- Junior Edward Rajner (Bainbridge, N.Y.) won all three of the events in which he competed, highlighted by a school-record performance in the discus at 45.95 meters. He threw the javelin 21.99 meters and the shot 13.35 meters to win those events as well.
- Senior Conor White (Warrenton, Va.) took runner-up honors in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:19.40 while freshman Orryn McGlone (Bristol, Va.) was second in the 400 meters at :59.08. Freshman Kesean Goins (Sugar Grove, Va.) was third in the 400 and led E&H with a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters.
- Sophomore Dillon Bradley (Harrisonburg, Va.) took fifth in the 400 meters.

Women's Top Performances
- Junior Lorin Zehr (Holly Pond, Ala.) won the discus with a mark of 28.96 meters. She was second in the shot put (9.30m) and third in the javelin, breaking her own school record with a performance of 21.59 meters.
- Freshman Annalyse McHone (Shawsville, Va.) took second in the 5,000 meters, stopping the watches in 20:30.49 while freshman Madeline Bishop (Collinsville, Va.) was second in the 800 meters, running a 2:48.12.
- Junior Yasmin Thorpe (Mount Airy, Md.) turned in a pair of fourth-place finishes, going 1:14.39 in the 400 meters and :31.98 in the 200 meters.
