The Wasps qualified for the championship with on Friday, February 16 when they sent a relay to George Mason University's Father Diamond Invitational. Preliminaries were set for Saturday afternoon, but due to scratches, they were cancelled and all 10 teams were advanced to Sunday's finals.

Sunday's action saw Emory & Henry's squad comprised of freshman Heath Bowker (Salem, Va.), sophomore Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.), junior Aaron Wilson (Chester, Va.) and freshman Caeden Bowker (Salem, Va.) run a 7:41.72. That resulted in a sixth-place finish out of 10 programs, the rest of which are NCAA Division I. Freshman Hillis Roberson, IV (Rosenburg, Texas) served as the alternate.

The three team points earned with that performance saw the Wasps finish tied for 30th in the 35-school field.

Emory & Henry will get the outdoor season started on Friday, March 22 at the Phoenix Invitational, hosted by Elon University.
