NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Cross Country Team has earned yet another team academic award from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, USTFCCCA officials announced recently.

The Wasps were honored with the distinction of "All-Academic" team for 2017-18. It is the fourth year in a row that the E&H men have been honored by the USTFCCCA. To be eligible for the award, the team's cumulative grade-point average must be above a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale.

The E&H men posted a 3.52 through the fall semester which was the 24th-best in NCAA Division III and second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Wasps were one of four programs in the league to be recognized and one of 166 teams nationally.

Last fall, the Wasps finished seventh at the ODAC Championships and were a Top 30 finisher in the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region. Junior Austin Tolbert (Wytheville, Va.) became just the second E&H runner to earn All-ODAC recognition, being named to the second team with at 10th-place finish at the conference meet. Tolbert also earned ODAC Runner of the Week accolades following the Piedmont Invitational in October.
