EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Softball program and Head Coach Tommy Forrester are pleased to offer summer softball camps for the first time at E&H. Both camps will be led by Coach Forrester with other members of the Wasp coaching staff and players assisting. Campers may register online at GoWasps.com/camps or print off registration forms below and mail them in.
The first camp that will be offered is a Day Camp which will run from Monday, July 20 to Wednesday, July 22, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., daily. This camp is for players ages 7-14 and will include intensive individual instruction on the fundamentals of softball including hitting, pitching and positional defense. There will be daily team competitions and on Thursday afternoon, a slip-and-slide will be used to practice sliding.
The cost for the Day Camp is $125 and campers will need to pack their own lunch each day. Two need-based scholarships for the camp will be given. To apply for a scholarship, email or mail a one-page request outlining your specific need to Coach Forrester.

Emory & Henry's Faith-Based Softball camp will be unique and unlike any others offered in the area. It is set to run from Friday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m., to Sunday, August 2 at 4:00 p.m., and is for rising 9th through 12th graders.
The camp will be very intense both in softball instruction throughout the day and in worship in the evenings and at night. There will be special guest speakers and musicians each of the three days. Each camper will be placed into a small group to discuss with their peers and current members of the E&H softball team the challenges of being a female Christian athlete in today's world.
The cost of the Faith-Based Camp is $210 and includes lodging in the College residence halls and all meals. All campers will be required to stay on campus for the duration of the camp.
