EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics in conjunction with the E&H Softball Team invites all members of the Emory & Henry community to join us on Monday, May 8 for a season celebration and watch party for the upcoming NCAA Division III Tournament.

The event will take place in the Humphreys Lounge of the Van Dyke Center beginning at noon. Light snacks will be available with a meet and greet period for players, coaches and fans.

Beginning at approximately 12:45 p.m., Head Coach Tommy Forrester will address the group and give some highlights on this spring's historical season.

The NCAA Division III Softball Tournament Selection Show will begin at 1:00 p.m., and the Wasps will then learn for the first time about their anticipated trip to the national playoffs.

Emory & Henry (34-13) finished as the runner-up in the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament last weekend and is currently ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region. With an invitation to the NCAA Tournament on Monday, the Wasps would be the first NCAA-sanctioned team in 14 years to reach the postseason.
