Game One – Emory & Henry 2, Anderson 0
E&H threatened in the top of the second getting a pair of runners aboard with two outs but the Trojan's defense got them out of the inning. The Wasps broke through in the third as freshman left fielder Kylie Cundiff (Roanoke, Va.) drew a one-out walk. Two batters later, junior pitcher Avery Adkins (Goodview, Va.) tagged a two-run home run over the centerfield wall.

After Emory & Henry stranded another pair in the fourth, Kayson Boatner led off the bottom of the frame with a triple down the right field line. On the next play, Morgan Charter grounded out to second base and the Wasps' defense was quick enough to get Boatner at home for the double play.

The final three innings went down in simple fashion as E&H claimed the 2-0 win.

Adkins was a force yet again in the circle, earning her seventh shutout of the year. She scattered four hits and eight strikeouts with no walks on her way to the victory. Carson Hobbs suffered the loss, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

Game Two – Anderson 9, Emory & Henry 5
AU jumped out to 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Hobbs scored on an error following a fielder's choice. In the second, the Trojans plated four to go up 5-0. Boatner highlighted the frame with a two-run homer to centerfield.

In the third, E&H got on the board when sophomore centerfielder Mackenzie Williams (St. Augustine, Fla.) came around to score after a base knock to left-center by Adkins. The Wasps closed the gap to 5-2 midway through the fourth when sophomore first baseman Lydia Taylor (Salem, Va.) touched home after a base hit by Cundiff and an ensuing error by the right fielder.

After a double by Charter in the bottom of the fourth plated Hobbs to make it a 6-2 contest, Emory & Henry pushed three across in the fifth to close the gap to 6-5. Senior catcher Julia Street (Glade Spring, Va.) came home on a bases-loaded wild pitch and later in the at bat, Taylor cleared the sacks with a double to right-centerfield.

Anderson pushed the final margin to 9-5 in the bottom of the sixth on a three-run shot to left by Ava Worthy.

Lane Edgington earned the victory for the Trojans, allowing three earned runs on six hits in 4.1 innings of work despite six walks. Hobbs pitched the final 2.2 of the contest, striking out two while allowing no hits. Adkins took the loss in the nightcap, permitting four earned runs on 10 hits in four innings pitched.
