Emory & Henry Women's Basketball Sees Three Named To All-ODAC Teams

FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women’s Basketball team has seen three players honored on the 2015 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Teams, ODAC officials announced Thursday. The all-conference teams are selected by the league's 12 head coaches.

Freshman guard Chloe Harris (Bristol, Va.) has been selected as the ODAC Rookie of the Year and is the first-ever Wasp to earn the award. The John S. Battle High School graduate averaged 10.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest, hitting a team-high 42 three-pointers on the year and shooting 42.4% from beyond the arc, which led the ODAC. Harris reached double figures in scoring 17 times, notching a high of 17 points against Centenary (N.J.) and Averett.

Emory & Henry also saw junior forward Karina Farr (Graham, Wash.) and sophomore guard Megan Jacoby (Richmond, Va.) named to the All-ODAC Third Team. It is the first time since the 1988-89 season that E&H has seen two of its players named all-conference.

Farr earns all-league third-team accolades for the second time in her career after leading the Wasps in points (13.2) and rebounds (8.7) per game while also shooting a team-best 50.6% from the field. Farr scored in double figures on 20 different occasions during the regular season, putting up a career-tying 24 points in E&H’s 85-84 win over Randolph-Macon College. She also posted nine double-doubles on the year.

Jacoby led the ODAC in assists with 5.8 helpers per contest, and at one time ranked in the top five in NCAA Division III. The sophomore point guard also sat atop the conference in steals per game (2.9 spg). Jacoby boasted an ODAC-best 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio and also averaged 9.3 points per game. She had 10 games in which she scored 10 or more points, 14 with six or more assists and 10 with four or more steals.

The #10 Wasps defeated Randolph College, 66-49, in the First Round of the ODAC Tournament on Tuesday to earn their first postseason win since 2005. Emory & Henry will continue its postseason run on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m., when it takes on second-seeded Randolph-Macon.
