EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team (15-5, 9-3 ODAC) opened up an 13-point lead midway through the first period and never looked back as it rolled over Randolph College (4-17, 2-10 ODAC), 94-57, Saturday afternoon in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action. The game also served as Senior Day for the Wasps, who honored their five seniors on Bob Johnson Court prior to the start of the game.

E&H never trailed in the contest going ahead, 15-2, 5:32 into the game. The Wasps pushed their advantage to 27 at the half, a 50-23 lead. In the opening 20 minutes, Emory & Henry shot 54.5 percent (18-for-33) from the field and connected on a trio of three-pointers.

In the second half, the Wasps continued to exert their will on the WildCats as the margin remained 23 points or greater for the rest of the game. Emory & Henry extended the lead to 30 points with 4:18 left to play, and went up by as much as 39 (94-55) in the final two minutes, as it cruised to the 95-57 victory.

Twelve different Emory & Henry players found the scoring column with freshman guard Taylor Blevins (Abingdon, Va.) leading the way with 19 points on six-for-10 shooting and seven-for-nine at the free throw line and 14 rebounds. Sophomore guard Chloe Harris (Bristol, Va.) had 17 points off the bench, hitting a quartet of three-pointers while senior Tamara Brewster (Morrow, Ga.) added 13 points and seven rebounds. Senior forward Karina Farr (Graham, Wash.) chipped in 10 points and six boards and junior guard Megan Jacoby (Richmond, Va.) contributed eight points, five assists and three steals.

As a team, the Wasps shot an even 50 percent (30-for-60) for the game, hitting eight (61.5%) of their three-pointers and adding 26 points (26-for-37; 70.3%) at the free throw line. E&H won the battle of the boards 46-30, which translated into 16 second-chance points. Emory & Henry also led in points off turnovers, 31-14.

Hope Randolph paced the WildCats with 14 points and three rebounds while Korin Harris and Jacqueline Hockman chipped in 10 points each. Randolph shot just 38.3 percent (23-for-60) from the field.

Emory & Henry will remain at home on Tuesday when it hosts league-leading Lynchburg College at 7:00 p.m. The game will also serve as the annual Play4Kay Day for the Wasps, who will wear their pink jerseys.
