Emory & Henry Women’s Basketball Returns To D3hoops.com Top 25 at No. 21

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team is the No. 21 team in the country, according to D3hoops.com. The latest poll was released late Monday and sees the Wasps return to the list after spending one ranking period as a team receiving votes. E&H is also receiving votes in the WBCA Top 25 Poll.

Emory & Henry (11-2, 5-2 ODAC) is riding a four-game winning streak with a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference victories over Bridgewater College and Randolph College last week. The Wasps' other two wins during this ranking period came over the New Year's holiday at the Lynchburg Holiday Tournament. Emory & Henry defeated then-No. 16 Christopher Newport University by a 76-56 margin and also picked up a win over Meredith College.

Christopher Newport falls to No. 23 in the poll while Randolph-Macon College is now receiving votes.

Bowdoin College is the top team in the nation with 15 of 25 first-place votes. Thomas More University is second with the remaining 10 top considerations. The University of Scranton, St. Thomas (Minn.) University and Amherst College are third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Emory & Henry will be back in action on Wednesday when it visits Guilford College at 5:00 p.m.
