Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Concludes Play At Bridgewater Tuesday

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team completed play in the Bridgewater Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

Emory & Henry
Senior Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) shot a +18 (90) for a second day in a row, breaking the school record for a 36-hole event by 13 shots. Additionally, Underwood finished 30th overall.

Junior Chandler Thomas' (Elizabethton, Tenn.) round of 97 (+25) on Tuesday gave her a two-day score of 184 (+40) which is the second-best 36-hole performance in program history. Thomas took 34th in the tournament.

The Leaders
University of Lynchburg's Elizabeth Self claimed medalist honors by shooting a 74 on Tuesday to finish the event at +3 (147), three shots clear of second place.

York (Pa.) College retained the lead on its way to hoisting the tournament trophy at +51. The Spartans bested host Bridgewater by 19 shots as all four of their scoring players finished inside the top 10.

The Wasps will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday when they host the Emory & Henry Invitational at Glenrochie Country Club.
