Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Begins Action At Home Tournament Monday

ABINGDON, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team got play started at the Emory & Henry Invitational Monday. The Wasps welcomed 21 players from five teams to Glenrochie Country Club for their first home tournament since the fall of 2017.

Emory & Henry
Senior Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) is 17th after shooting a +27 (99) on Monday.

Junior Chandler Thomas (Elizabethton, Tenn.) carded a 108 (+36) in the first round and sit in 18th.

The Leaders
University of Lynchburg's Lily Self leads the way by three strokes, carding a three-over 75. She is trailed by Shelby VanAusdal of Southern Virginia University (78; +6).

Bridgewater College leads the team standings at +48 (336), placing all four of their scoring golfers in the top 10. Southern Virginia is three shots behind at +51.
