Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Leads After Round One Of Alice Lloyd Fall Invitational Monday

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team holds a seven-shot lead over the field following 18 holes of play in the Alice Lloyd Fall Invitational Monday. The Wasps have all five of their players in the top 10 of the event with freshman Abby Bradley (Castlewood, Va.) tied for the lead at even par (72).

Emory & Henry
Bradley burst onto the scene with an even par round of 72 in her first collegiate event to sit in a three-way tie for first place, breaking the E&H record for a single round by two strokes.

Sophomore Katie Hall (Abingdon, Va.) is fourth at +1 (73) following Monday's round while juniors Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) and Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) carded 78s (+6) to tie for fifth. Senior Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) sits in ninth at +11 (83).

The Leaders
Bradley is tied with Renee Crooks and Carly Crooks of University of Pikeville after shooting even par.

As a team, the Wasps shot a school record 301 (+13) as they hold a seven-stroke lead over Pikeville with University of Rio Grande in a distant third at (+71).
