Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Eighth After 36 Holes At Patsy Rendleman Invitational Monday

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team is currently in eighth place following two rounds at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College. The 54-hole tournament is being held at The Country Club of Salisbury, the site of the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championships.

Round One
Sophomore Katie Hall (Abingdon, Va.) and freshman Abby Bradley (Castlewood, Va.) shot a +7 (78) in the opening round to tie for 17th while junior Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) carded an 80 (+9) to sit tied for 27th.

Senior Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) and junior Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) notched at +14 (85) tie for 41st place.

Round Two
The afternoon round saw Bradley shoot 82 (+11) to tie for 29th place while Hall's 83 (+12) put her in a tie for 32nd. Humbert shot an 82 (+11) to drop a pair of spots to 35th.

Frisbee turned in an 81 (+10), moving up three spots into a tie for 38th while Smelcer went for another 85 (+14) which was good for 45th.

The Leaders
Ashleigh Meade of University of South Carolina Beaufort leads the field by six shots after firing a pair of even-par rounds (71-71 – 142). Lenoir-Rhyne University's Charlotte Colley is second at +6 (74-74 – 148).

LR leads the tournament shooting a +35 (307-296 – 603) and is one stroke ahead of Anderson (S.C.) University which posted back-to-back rounds of 302 and is +36.
