Emory & Henry Men’s Wrestling Falls To Limestone And Newberry Wednesday At Home

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Wrestling Team (3-23, 0-6 SACC) dropped two duals in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action on Wednesday evening. Limestone University (4-3, 3-3 SACC) defeated the Wasps by a 56-0 final score while Newberry College (6-4, 6-1 SACC) took the win over E&H by a 53-3 margin.

The Limestone Match
- The Saints began the dual with an 18-0 advantage due to forfeits at the 133-pound, 197-pound and 285-pound weight classes.
- Limestone earned victories by fall at 149, 157, 174 and 184. The Saints also picked up wins by technical fall at 125 pounds and 165 pounds.
- Freshman Logan Arnold (Rocky Mount, Va.) dropped his bout by major decision (14-4) at 141 pounds.

The Newberry Match
- The dual began at 12-0 in favor of the Wolves due to forfeits at the 133-pound and 285-pound weight classes.
- Arnold was victorious at 141 pounds, as he picked up a win by decision (6-3) over Newberry's J.P. Gamez.
- Newberry earned victories by fall at 125, 149, 157, 165, 174 and 197. The Wolves also picked up a win by technical fall at 184 pounds.
