Lincoln Memorial Men’s Wrestling Defeats Emory & Henry, 44-12, Saturday In Dual Action

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial University Men's Wrestling Team (2-9, 1-6 SACC) defeated Emory & Henry College (4-24, 0-7 SACC) Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action. The Railsplitters won by a 44-12 margin. 

The E&H and LMU women's match, also scheduled for Saturday afternoon, was declared a "no contest."

The Match
- The Railsplitters began the dual with an 18-12 advantage due to forfeits in unfilled weight classes. 
- Sophomore Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) and junior Brenden Blevins (Troutdale, Va.) earned the wins by forfeit for the Wasps at 157 pounds and 184 pounds respectively.
- E&H sophomore Tito Hernandez (Shelbyville, Tenn.) fell by major decision (18-7) in the 133-pound weight class.
- Freshman Alex Baumberger (Glade Hill, Va.) dropped his bout by major decision (14-5) at 174 pounds.

- Emory & Henry hits the road again next Saturday when they make the trip to Pembroke, North Carolina for a tri-match against the University of North Carolina Pembroke and the University of Mount Olive.
