Randolph-Macon Women’s Soccer Tops Emory & Henry, 3-0, Saturday In ODAC Action

ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon College Women's Soccer Team (14-0, 6-0 ODAC) remained perfect on the season as it picked up a 3-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory over visiting Emory & Henry College (2-11-1, 0-7 ODAC) Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Yellow Jackets put the first goal on the board just 7:23 into the contest as McKenna Maier scored on a pass from Casey Kent.
- With 27 seconds to go before the half, R-MC struck again as Haley Silva found the back of the net. Erin Lee was credited with the assist.
- In the 75th minute, Randolph-Macon added an insurance goal for the final 3-0 margin. Lee tallied her second assist of the contest, this time fining Maier for the score.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Freshman midfielder Robi Young (Glade Hill, Va.) notched a scoring opportunity for the Wasps.
- Wasp freshman Natalie Capone (Kannapolis, N.C.) played the full 90 minutes in goal, making nine saves.

Randolph-Macon Individual Leaders
- Maier finished the game with two goals on four shots while Gabby Nelson added five shots of her own.
- Christina Newman and Edye Carr split time in goal to combine for the shutout.
