Emory & Henry Women’s Soccer Earns Team Academic Award For A Third-Straight Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the third year in a row, the Emory & Henry College Women's Soccer Team has been recognized for its performance in the classroom by the United Soccer Coaches.

E&H, which achieved a 3.32 team GPA during the 2019-20 academic year, was one of 897 teams from all levels of college soccer to earn the designation. The Team Academic Awards are presented by the United Soccer Coaches to college and university soccer teams which have achieved a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

The Wasps were one of 10 women's soccer programs from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to receive the honor. Also recognized from the league were Bridgewater College, Eastern Mennonite University, Hollins University, University of Lynchburg, Randolph College, Roanoke College, Sweet Briar College, Virginia Wesleyan University and Washington and Lee University.

Founded in 1941 as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the United Soccer Coaches is the world's largest soccer coaches' organization, serving members at every level of the game.
