Freshman Sam Brown (Memphis, Tenn.) registered a new top mark with a 2:46.24 in the 200-meter backstroke while Guardalabene swam a record 3:01.00 in the 200-meter breaststroke. Powell's 200-meter butterfly time of 2:41.40 was good enough for a new E&H record.

The 200-meter medley relay team of freshman Lauren Frizzell (Blacksburg, Va.), Guardalabene, Shirey and Brown set a new standard, swimming a 2:13.01 to open the meet.
