EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Swimming Team improved to 8-1 (5-0 ODAC) on the season Saturday afternoon as it broke three school records in a 102-38 win over Greensboro College at the E&H Aquatics Center.

The Wasps, who won all 10 events of the afternoon, complete the home portion of their season and have just one more meet before the 2015 ODAC Championships next month.

Emory & Henry got off to a strong start with a 1-2 finish in the 200-meter medley relay. The team of sophomore Jordan Greenburg (Cordova, Tenn.), freshman Kelsey Jones (Roanoke, Va.), sophomore Allison Fowler (Morristown, Tenn.) and sophomore Michaela Nolte (Hillsborough, N.C.) clocked a time of 2:08.82 to win the event.

Sophomore Jessica Richardson (Vero Beach, Fla.) broke the first record of the day for the Wasps in the 800-meter freestyle. Normally a sprint specialist, Richardson shattered the previous school record by 4.12 seconds, turning in a time of 9:55.20.

Fowler earned the win in the 200-meter freestyle as she swam a 2:17.17 while junior Taylor Guardalabene (Charlotte, N.C.) was close behind (2:18.81). Nolte picked up her first individual win of the day in the 50-meter freestyle as her swim of :28.08 was just .13 seconds off of a new program best.

Freshman Mackenzie Lingle (Roanoke, Va.) went 2:33.61, winning the 200-meter individual medley, posting a time which came within .17 seconds of setting a record.

In the 100-meter butterfly, Fowler got her second individual win of the afternoon, breaking the Emory & Henry record by .56 seconds with her swim of 1:08.53. Freshman Holly Roth (Albuquerque, N.M.) went 1:04.29 in the 100-meter freestyle, edging out teammate freshman Marina Moore (Thomasville, N.C.) by 23 one-hundredths of a second.

Lingle took first in the 100-meter backstroke (1:11.66) while Greenburg was a close second in 1:12.40. Nolte topped her school record from the fall home meet in the 100-meter breaststroke by almost 1.2 seconds, swimming a 1:17.28 in her strongest event.

Emory & Henry went 1-2 in the 200-meter freestyle relay to conclude the afternoon's action. Roth, Guardalabene, Jones and junior Payton Shirey (Seaford, Del.) came in first with a time of 1:55.46.

E&H will conclude the regular season next Saturday when it faces off against Mars Hill University and King University on the MHU campus at 2:00 p.m.
