Emory & Henry Women’s Swimming Receives Its First-Ever Regional Ranking From CSCAA

NORFOLK, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women’s Swimming Team has received its first-ever regional ranking from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Wasps are tabbed as the No. 10 team in the West-Midwest-South Region.

The rankings, voted on by a panel of 22 NCAA Division III coaches from across the country, are a prediction on which teams would win in a head-to-head meeting. This is different from the CollegeSwimming.com Team Rankings, which compiles their rankings based on individual swims and performance points.

In addition to ranking teams from four regions of NCAA Division III, the committee votes on a nation-wide Top 25.

Old Dominion Athletic Conference power Washington and Lee University is ranked fourth in the region and is the No. 13 team in the country. Emory University holds the top spot both in the region and nationally.

E&H will next compete in the 2016 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships. The three-day event will be held from Friday, February 12 to Sunday, February 14 at the Greensboro Aquatics Center.
