SOMERS, Wisc. – After a stellar performance at the completion of the 2016 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship, Emory & Henry College junior Michaela Nolte (Hillsborough, N.C.) has been selected as the TeamUnify/College Swimming Conference Swimmer of the Week for the ODAC.

Nolte, who becomes the first E&H swimmer to earn a weekly award from CollegeSwimming, was named the ODAC Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual events. The junior was crowned the conference champion in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke. She set new ODAC and Emory & Henry records in all three events, going :23.90 in the 50-free, 1:03.97 in the 100-breast and 2:20.07 in the 200-breast.

Her time in the 100-yard breaststroke gave her the 16th best swim in the event for the 2015-16 year in NCAA Division III, while her 200-yard breaststroke performance is 19th fastest nationally. Both of these times are also NCAA "B" Qualifying Standards which could result in an invitation to the 2016 NCAA Division III Championships next month.

Nolte also swam on four ODAC Runner-Up relays at the meet. The 2014 ODAC Rookie of the Year, Nolte's career boasts eight individual ODAC Championships and five ODAC Relay Championships, and six ODAC Runner-Up finishes.
