DAY FOUR - MARCH 18, 2017 --- SHENANDOAH, Texas - Emory & Henry College senior Michaela Nolte (Hillsborough, N.C.) completed her slate of events at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday morning, swimming in the preliminaries of the 200-yard breaststroke.
Nolte went 2:20.34 for a fifth-place heat finish which was 18th overall. As the 18th-place finisher, Nolte is the second alternate for tonight's finals and will swim if two of the top 16 swimmers are unable to compete. Washington and Lee University's Emily Hageboeck is in the consolation final after a swim of 2:17.89, which was ninth-fastest in the prelims.
Samantha Senczyszyn is prepped to pull the double in the breaststroke events as the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire standout went 2:14.17 this morning.
Mary Erb of Connecticut College claimed the national championship, swimming a 2:14.61 in the finals. Senczyszyn did not compete in the finals due to injury.

DAY THREE - MARCH 17, 2017 --- SHENANDOAH, Texas - Emory & Henry College senior Michaela Nolte (Hillsborough, N.C.) continued competition at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday morning, competing in the preliminaries of the 100-yard breaststroke.
Nolte swam a 1:04.37 to take second in her heat and 23rd overall. Additionally, she finished as the top swimmer from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference swimmer in the event, besting Emily Hageboeck of Washington and Lee University by nearly a second. Seeded first going into tonight's finals is Samantha Senczyszyn of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a time of 1:01.88.
Senczyszyn put up a time of 1:01.64 to capture the national championship Friday evening.

Nolte will tackle her third event of the championship, the 200-yard breaststroke, on Saturday morning. She is seeded 19th in the event with an E&H- and ODAC-Record time of 2:19.43.

DAY ONE - MARCH 15, 2017 --- SHENANDOAH, Texas - Emory & Henry College senior Michaela Nolte (Hillsborough, N.C.) kicked things off at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday morning, swimming in the preliminaries of the 50-yard freestyle.
Nolte turned in a time of :24.19, finishing sixth in her heat and 47th overall. Additionally, she finished as the top swimmer from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference swimmer in the event, besting three competitors from Washington and Lee University. The top time went to Emory University's Fiona Muir, who clocked a :22.77.
In the finals, Emma Waddell of Williams College took the national championship with a time of :22.69, a new meet record.

Nolte will next compete on Friday morning in the 100-yard breaststroke. She enters the event with a seed time of 1:04.03.

MARCH 14, 2017 --- EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College senior Michaela Nolte (Hillsborough, N.C.) departed campus on Monday afternoon for the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. Nolte will compete in three individual events beginning Wednesday at Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas. It marks the second year that Nolte has reached the national stage for swimming after a career of dominating performances in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
The NCAA has produced a Digital Program for the Championships which is accessible HERE.
The four-day meet is being hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the City of Shenandoah. The SCAC has created a portal to provide fans with information about this weekend's championship. Click HERE for more information.
Nolte will first compete on Wednesday in the 50-yard freestyle and enters the event with a seed time of :23.95.
Friday will see competition in the 100-yard breaststroke. Nolte's time of 1:04.03 the event is 25th-fastest in the country this season.
Saturday, the final day of the Championships, has the 200-yard breaststroke on the docket. Nolte has the league and Emory & Henry record in this event as well (2:19.43) and was 19th in Division III during the season.
The meet will follow a Preliminaries/Finals format with the top 16 swimmers from the morning session qualifying for Finals in the evening. Prelims are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., while finals will begin at 6:00 p.m.
