Emory & Henry Women’s Swimming Recognized For Academic Achievement By CSCAA

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For a ninth semester in a row, the Emory & Henry College Women's Swimming Team has earned academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. The Wasps posted one of the Top 100 grade-point averages in NCAA with a 3.36 cumulative team GPA.

For the fall semester, 163 different NCAA Division III women's programs achieved the Scholar All-America standard. E&H is among five Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools with Scholar All-America Teams. Hollins University (3.56), Washington and Lee University (3.45), Bridgewater College (3.33) and Sweet Briar College (3.05) also received the recognition.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming & diving teams, which have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The CSCAA honors teams from each of the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.

Emory & Henry posted a 10-1 (8-0 ODAC) dual meet record this year and earned third- and fourth-place finishes at the Sewanee Invitational and the Washington and Lee Winter Invitational, respectively. The Wasps will next compete at the ODAC Championships from Friday, February 9 through Sunday, February 11 at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
