Emory & Henry Women’s Tennis Falls To North Greenville And No. 38 Limestone Friday And Saturday

TIGERVILLE, S.C./GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team (3-11, 1-6 SAC) dropped a pair of matches to North Greenville University (2-10) and No. 38 nationally-ranked Limestone University (13-4, 6-2 SAC) Friday and Saturday afternoon. The Wasps fell to both teams by 7-0 finals.

The North Greenville Match
- The doubles team of junior Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) and freshman Karlie Quinn (Mocksville, N.C.) dropped a heartbreaker in a 6-7 (12-14) tiebreak at No. 3 doubles as the Crusaders took the doubles point.
- Chernega fell in three sets at No. 1 singles to Grace Katzman by a 1-6, 6-4, 3-6 margin.
- Senior Emma Charlton (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENGLAND) came up short in three sets to Abigail Watson at No. 2 singles 6-4, 4-6, 0-1 (3-10).
- Sophomore Katie Bradley (Auchterarder, SCOTLAND) dropped a three-set decision to Kyle Steyn at No. 5 singles 0-6, 6-0, 3-6.

The Limestone Match
- The team of sophomore Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and Charlton took down their opponents at No. 1 singles, but the Saints won the other two matches to jump ahead 1-0.
- Charlton dropped her match at No. 1 singles by a 1-6, 5-7 margin to Anamaria Kiszner-Luca.
