Maryville (Tenn.) Volleyball Defeats Emory & Henry, 3-0, Tuesday
MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Maryville (Tenn.) College Volleyball Team picked up a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-14) sweep of Emory & Henry College (14-11) in non-conference action Tuesday evening. The Scots take the season series with the Wasps, two matches to none.

Sophomore outside hitter Hannah Stewart (Boone, N.C.) led the Wasps with nine kills while senior middle Nicole Tesh (Boone, N.C.) had six kills. Freshman outside hitter Tristen Pennington (Kingsport, Tenn.) had five kills and five digs. Junior setter Maleah Neely (Hillsville, Va.) dished out 17 assists and added five digs and two blocks while freshman defensive specialist Emily Hinshaw (Boone, N.C.) tallied a team-high eight digs.

Maryville was led by Kelsey Handel and Julia Vineyard with eight kills apiece while Kristen Sharp notched seven kill and 14 digs. Lauren Bonee registered 13 assists and seven digs while Mallory Bonee and Kristi Bowlin each had 10 digs.

Emory & Henry will return home on Thursday for a 7:00 p.m. match with Ferrum College. The contest will serve as Senior Night for the Wasps.
