Ferrum Volleyball Defeats Emory & Henry, 3-0, Friday Afternoon In ODAC Competition

FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum College Volleyball Team (9-13, 1-8 ODAC) earned a 3-0 victory against Emory & Henry College (5-17, 2-7 ODAC) Friday afternoon in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play. The Panthers took the match by scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-22.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Senior right-side hitter Rebecca Morehouse (Kingsport, Tenn.) paced the Wasps' offense with 11 kills.
- Senior outside hitter Tori Holmberg (Wake Forest, N.C.) and freshmen Makayla Payne (Bristol, Va.) and Delaini Nagy (Clover, S.C.) added six kills seach.
- Senior setter Sam McCauley (Glade Spring, Va.) dished out 26 assists and completed the double-double with 10 digs.
- Freshman Chelsie Crussell (Kingsport, Tenn.) put up a team-best 14 digs while senior Huntre Baxter (Blountville, Tenn.) had 10 digs.

Ferrum Individual Leaders
- Cheyenne Strickland had eight kills, 13 assists and 11 digs while Kaelyn Daniel notched nine kills and 10 digs.
- Kayla Divers posted 14 digs while Mikayla Holland and Layura Henley tallied five kills apiece.

- Emory & Henry will play a pair of ODAC matches on Saturday on the campus of Shenandoah University.
- The Wasps will take on Shenandoah to start the day at noon, and finish competition with a match against the University of Lynchburg at 2:00 p.m.
