Emory & Henry Volleyball Drops A Pair Of Matches Saturday At Marymount

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team concluded the Marymount Invitational on Saturday with matches against Marymount University and Franklin & Marshall College.

The Basics
RESULTS – Marymount 3, Emory & Henry 0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-22)
                   Franklin & Marshall 3, Emory & Henry 0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-16)

The Marymount Match
- Sophomore Chelsie Crussell (Kingsport, Tenn.) had five kills while freshman right-side hitter Carley Williams (Bristol, Tenn.) and sophomore middle Makayla Payne (Bristol, Va.) each notched four kills.
- Freshman setter Marissa Snapp (Chuckey, Tenn.) had seven assists and seven digs while senior libero Lauren Coolidge (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had 12 kills and two aces.

The Franklin & Marshall Match
- Crussell and Williams posted five kills each while freshman outside Savanah Keesee (Madison Heights, Va.) added four kills and five digs.
- Snapp went for seven assists and seven digs while Coolidge added a team-high 11 digs.

All-Tournament Team
- Crussell was named to the All-Tournament Team following her performance on the weekend.

- Emory & Henry returns home and to Old Dominion Athletic Conference action on Tuesday when it faces Ferrum College. First serve is at 7:00 p.m.
