Emory & Henry Volleyball Earns A Pair Of ODAC Sweeps In Home Tri-Match Saturday

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team (2-3, 2-3 ODAC) picked up its first wins of the year on Saturday as it defeated Eastern Mennonite University (2-3, 2-3 ODAC) and Guilford College (1-4, 1-4 ODAC) in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference tri-match. The Wasps topped the Royals by a 25-21, 25-21, 25-23 score and defeated Guilford 25-20, 25-15, 25-21.

The Eastern Mennonite Match
- Sophomore right-side hitter Carley Williams (Bristol, Tenn.) posted a team-high 13 kills, hitting .444 (13-1-27) while junior outside hitter Delaini Nagy (Clover, S.C.) hit .375 to add nine kills, six digs and two blocks.
- Freshman middle Hannah Watson (Kingsport, Tenn.) had six kills and three blocks while sophomore outside hitter Savanah Keesee (Madison Heights, Va.) tacked on four kills, three aces and three digs.
- Sophomore setter Marissa Snapp (Chuckey, Tenn.) notched 17 assists while freshman libero Sarah Moore (Kingsport, Tenn.) went for 10 digs, two kills and three assists.

The Guilford Match
- Junior middle Keely Doyle (Lexington, Va.) led the way with seven kills without an error, two aces and three blocks while Keesee and Watson also put up seven kills.
- Snapp dished out 21 assists and had four digs and two kills while sophomore setter Abbie Dillon (Goodview, Va.) had 12 assists and two digs.
- Moore finished the match with 12 digs and two aces.

- Emory & Henry will be back in action on Thursday when it plays in another ODAC tri-match on the campus of Randolph College. The Wasps will face the host WildCats at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan University at 4:00 p.m.
