Emory & Henry Cross Country Announces 2014 Meet Schedule

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams under third-year Head Coach Tom Antenucci have set their schedule for the 2014 season. This fall's slate will see the Wasps compete in seven different meets on five courses in four different states.

As always, the Wasps will begin the season with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preview meet. This year, Guilford College will host the league championships in Greensboro with the preview meet scheduled for the evening of Friday, August 29.

Next up for E&H is Washington and Lee University's John Tucker Invitational on Saturday, September 13. It will be the first time under Antenucci that the Wasps have attended a meet hosted by an ODAC competitor.

Emory & Henry will travel to the Palmetto State to race in the Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C. on Saturday, September 20. The Royals XC Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte at McAlpine Park will take place on Saturday, October 11. It will be the third-straight season that the Wasps have competed in both of these meets.

The Wasps will visit the expansive campus of Berry College at Mount Berry, Ga., on Saturday, October 18 for the Berry Invitational. E&H will get a taste of what the regional meet will be like in their final regular season outing, as Berry is serving as the host of this year's South/Southeast Regional Championship.

On Saturday, November 1 Emory & Henry will officially begin the postseason with the 2014 ODAC Championships, hosted by Guilford. Two weeks later, the Wasps will return to Northwest Georgia for the 2014 NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Championships, which will round out the season.
