Head Coach David Cheromei and Assistant Coach Shawnee Kegley look to guide the Wasps up the ladder in the ODAC as they bring new energy and direction to the program. Seniors McKenna Tankersley (Big Stone Gap, Va.), Kelly Light (Blountville, Tenn.) and Annie Kate Leinius (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) will provide leadership both on and off the course.

"I believe there are plenty of areas our women can improve from our eighth-place pick," said Kegley. "I'm excited to see where they are by the conference championship."

Washington and Lee University is picked to win the ODAC Championship for a fourth year in a row with 10 of 13 first-place votes. University of Lynchburg is second with two votes while Bridgewater College is third. Shenandoah University sits in fourth place with the final first-place vote and Eastern Mennonite University takes fifth.

Emory & Henry will open the season on Friday, August 31 at the Bridgewater XC Challenge, hosted by Bridgewater College. The ODAC Championship will be hosted by Shenandoah University at the Kernstown Battlefield on Saturday, October 27.
