Emory & Henry Sees 219 Student-Athletes Honored On The SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

ROCK HILL, S.C. – South Atlantic Conference officials recently announced that 219 Emory & Henry University student-athletes have been selected to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

To be eligible for inclusion on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must have competed in a sponsored championship sport and maintained a GPA of 3.30 or higher throughout the academic year. There were 22 student-athletes that achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average over the course of 2024-25.

Emory & Henry was led by the baseball team with 26 representatives on the men's side and women's soccer and softball with 21 on the women's. There were 11 teams with more than 50 percent of their student-athletes reaching the threshold. Softball led the way with the highest percentage of their student-athletes (21-of-24 – 87.5%) on the list.

League-wide, 3,479 student-athletes from the conference's 13 full members and six associate members received the honor.

"We are honored to recognize a substantial number of our student-athletes for their outstanding academic accomplishments," said SAC Commissioner Patrick Britz. "This is a testament to the high priority our member institutions continue to place on academic success. On behalf of the entire South Atlantic Conference, I want to express how extremely proud we are of the hard work and dedication these student-athletes put in the classroom and in their athletic arena."
