WEYERS CAVE, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team got the 2018-19 season off to a start Sunday with a reserve champion finish at Bridgewater College. The Wasps put up victories in two of the four levels and saw sophomore Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) take High-Point Rider of the Day.

First Level
- Senior Eliza Ginn (Alpahretta, Ga.) was sixth while senior Sydney Casady (Harriman, Tenn.) posted a seventh-place finish.
Upper Training Level
- Senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) won the level while junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) was the reserve champion.
- Junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) notched a fifth-place finish.
Lower Training Level
- Dunne was the Lower Training champion while junior Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) finished fourth.
Introductory Level
- Junior Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) posted a fourth-place finish.
Dressage Seat Equitation
- Freshman Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecomb, SOUTH AFRICA) took fifth at First Level.
- Freshman Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) won the Upper Training Level. Bonner was fourth while Oursler placed sixth.
- Trice earned reserve champion honors while freshman Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) was third.
- Freshman Lauren Dellinger (Matthews, N.C.) was sixth at the Introductory Level.
The Awards
- Virginia Tech took the team championship for the day as E&H was second.
- Dunne's High-Point Rider of the Day accolades mark the second-straight Region H show that she has received the honor.
Next Up
- Emory & Henry will be back in the dressage arena next Sunday when it visits Virginia Tech.
