Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Earns Reserve Champion Finish At Home Sunday

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team finished second out of six competing schools Sunday its second dressage show of the spring season.

The Basics
TEAM PLACE – 2nd/6
LOCATION – Bristol, Virginia
VENUE – Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center

First Level
- Senior Eliza Ginn (Alpharetta, Ga.) was the reserve champion (70.29%) while senior Cassandra Oliver (Charlotte, Vt.) was fourth, scoring a 66.43%.

Upper Training Level
- Senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) won the test with a ride of 73.30% while junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) was the reserve champion on a 72.41%.
- Junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) gave the Wasps a 1-2-3 finish in the level with, scoring a 71.38%.

Lower Training Level
- Junior Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) was second in Lower Training (70.39%), riding as an individual.
- Sophomore Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) took fourth for E&H on a 68.65%.

Introductory Level
- Sophomore Kaitlin Meredith (Masphee, Mass.) took third in the Introductory level, scoring a 68.44% while freshman Becca Pagnini (Beaverdam, Va.) was sixth (61.63%).

Dressage Seat Equitation
- Senior Sydney Casady (Harriman, Tenn.) was second in First Level while freshman Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecomb, SOUTH AFRICA) claimed fourth.
- In Upper Training, Oursler posted a second win of the day while freshman Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) was fourth.
- Lower Training competition saw both junior Mya Lizzadro (Naperville, Ill.) and junior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandia Beach, Fla.) claim wins while Trice was second and freshman Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) was third.
- Junior Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) and sophomore Caroline French (Raleigh, N.C.)  finished second and third the Introductory Level.

The Awards
- Oursler was named High-Point Rider of the Day while Adsit was Reserve High-Point Rider.
- Bridgewater College earned the team title with the Wasps finishing second.

Up Next
- The Wasps will host their final show of the year on Sunday, March 24.
