Intermont Equestrian IHSA Team Wins At UNC-Greensboro Saturday

RANDLEMAN, N.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team remained atop the Zone 4-Region 5 standings with its fourth "high-point team" finish of the year Saturday. The Wasps picked up top-three finishes in eight of their 12 rides of the day.

The Results
- Senior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) earned wins at Open Equitation on the Flat and Over Fences.
- Sophomore Madelyn Lowe (Red Lion, Pa.) was first in Intermediate Fences while senior Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) was third.
- In Intermediate on the Flat, senior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) picked up a victory while sophomore Remy Tait (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) was fourth.
- Limit Over Fences competition saw sophomore Emilie Fink (Jamesport, N.Y.) take first as sophomore Josie Sumner (Hampshire, Ill.) was second. Sophomore Makalyn Williams (Granville, Ohio) was fourth in Limit on the Flat.  
- Sophomore Kayla Henson (Virginia Beach, Va.) posted a fourth-place finish in Novice while sophomore Brinley Thomas (Farmville, Va.) and freshman Delaney Love (Bristol, Va.) took first and fifth, respectively in Introductory competition.

The Awards
- E&H was the team champion of the day as Adsit picked up her second High-Point Rider of the Day honor in as many shows.

Next Up
- Intermont Equestrian will return to UNC-Greensboro on Saturday, February 15 for another IHSA show.
