
BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry IDA Team started its season back up with a home-field win on Saturday. The team took top honors, winning each division, and both High-Point and Reserve-High Point Rider awards.

First Level
Senior Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) opened the day with a 69.259% to crown herself the winner of the class. Senior Abigail Williamson (Sacramento, Calif.) followed with a third-place finish with a score of 67.777%.
Upper Training Level
Sophomore Cetari White-Anderson had a big win with a score of 77.241%, followed by senior Sierra Smith (Olathe, Kan.) who posted a third-place finish in her IDA debut with a score of 68.793%.
Lower Training Level
Senior Meaghan Croteau (Sparks, Md.) rode to a blue ribbon on a 71.346% while senior Hannah Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) finished right behind in second with a score of 70.384%.
Introductory Level
Freshman Samantha Nappi (Bedford, Mass.) scored a 71.875% to take top honors, with sophomore Bailey Shive (Hot Springs, Ark.) hot on her heels with a 70.937% to earn second.
The Awards
The Wasps were High-Point Team, scoring 21 points. The University of Virginia was Reserve High-Point Team with 11 points.
White-Anderson was the High-Point Rider of the Day thanks to her win in the Upper Training Level, Nappi was Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day.
Dressage Seat Equitation
Sophomore Anna Norton (Charlotte, N.C.) rode to a blue at First Level.
Sophomore Cetari White-Anderson (Clatskanie, Ore.) was fifth in the Upper Training division.
Junior Elly Gurshpun (Henrico, Va.) took fourth place in Lower Training.

Emory & Henry will return to competition tomorrow, February 16, for an IHSA show hosted by Averett University. The Wasps' next IDA show will be on Saturday, March 1 at Virginia Tech.
