EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College football team has announced that offensive coordinator Graham Clark ('77) is leaving the team due to non-life threatening health issues.

"I loved my brief time being back at Emory & Henry College," said Clark. "I think the world of Head Coach Curt Newsome and the Wasps coaching staff, and I wish them the best of luck this coming season."

For this season, assistant coaches Kamden BeCraft and Kevin Saxton will share the role as offensive coordinator. BeCraft will continue working with wide receivers and serving as recruiting coordinator. Saxton will still oversee the Wasps' running backs.

"Kam and Kevin both have a great understanding of our system, and I have full confidence in their ability to run the offense," said Newsome.

E&H was voted to finish in sixth place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference this year by the league's coaches, ODAC officials announced Monday.

Emory & Henry will kick off the season on Saturday, September 7 against North Carolina Wesleyan College at 1:00 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the Wasps and Battling Bishops since the 2009 season.
