FOREST, Va. – Emory & Henry College senior defensive lineman Da'von Keith has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Sunday. The Columbia, South Carolina native wins the award for the second time in his career.

The Columbia, South Carolina native led the Wasps' defensive unit Saturday evening with six solo tackles, four of which went down as quarterback sacks. Keith's final stop of the evening also went down as a strip sack where he recovered the fumble and rumbled 35 yards to the end zone.

It is the first time this year that an E&H player has been selected as one of the conference's top performers. The last time a Wasp was named ODAC Football Player of the Week was the final week of the 2018 season when Hunter Taylor earned offensive honors for his record-tying efforts in the Wasps' historic rout of Guilford College.

Emory & Henry (1-2, 0-1 ODAC) will return home on Saturday, October 5 when it hosts Hampden-Sydney College in an ODAC tilt. Kickoff between the Wasps and Tigers is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
