The Moneta, Virginia native and Staunton River High School graduate led E&H to a 59-36 win over Ferrum College to retain possession of the Crooked Road Classic Trophy. Overstreet ran for a school- and Old Dominion Athletic Conference-record 324 yards on 35 carries. That mark tied the NCAA Division III lead for this year and tied for third most in all of college football for single-game rushing.
With four selections to the D3football.com Team of the Week, E&H boasts a new program-best for the publication. The Wasps previously saw three players honored in the 2004 and 2008 seasons. Since the inception of the D3football.com Team of the Week award in the 1999 season, Emory & Henry players have been listed among the nation's top performers on 22 occasions.
Emory & Henry (7-3, 6-2 ODAC) finished with its first winning season since 2016 and claimed third place in the ODAC.
