EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Basketball team has announced an agreement that will send the team to Brooklyn, New York, to compete in a game at Barclays Center, the home of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets in the 2020-21 season.

The Wasps will fly to New York City for the event; their opponent and game date to be announced at a later time. That same evening, the team will be guest of the Brooklyn Nets, led by NBA stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, for a regular season contest.

"This will be an incredible opportunity and experience for our student-athletes," said Ben Thompson, men's basketball head coach. "We believe that this type of event will increase the visibility of our program and enhance the experience that our young men will have during their time at Emory & Henry. Our guys are really excited about getting to play in an NBA arena and we look forward to competing in the Big Apple next season!"
