Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Sits 10th Through Monday’s Round At The Tom Kinder Memorial

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team is 10th out of 15 competing teams after round one of Bridgewater College's Tom Kinder Memorial Monday. Two schools have also fielded "B" Teams, which do not count in the official team standings.

Round One
Junior Christofer Schaff (Elizabethton, Tenn.) leads the way after shooting a +3 (75) and is tied for 31st while juniors Wesley Jones (Seymour, Tenn.) and Isfandyar Khan (Lahore, PAKISTAN) are tied for 48th at 77 (+5).

Junior Blake Benson (Knoxville, Tenn.) carded a +6 (78) on Monday and is tied for 55th overall while freshman Chase Maddox (Amherst, Va.) shot an 87 in his collegiate debut.

The Leaders
Ferrum College's Hunter Shelton leads the way as the only player to break 70 on Monday. His round of 69 (-3) gives him a two-shot lead on a four-way tie for second.

McDaniel College paces the team competition at +2 (290) overall. The Green Terror has four players in the top 20. Ferrum is three shots back (+5) while Hampden-Sydney College's "B" Team and Roanoke College are tied for third at +7.
